Simon Pearce - Woodbury Vases

In 1980, Simon and his wife, Pia, moved to the United States to start a glass workshop and establish a home for their family. They settled in Quechee, Vermont, where they renovated an old woolen mill amd harnessed natural energy by converting the power of the river to electricity to fuel the glass furnaces.

 

Marked by square angles, lustrous hand-finishing, and gently curving rims, it’s easy to see why the Woodbury Vase continues to be a timeless favorite. Unlike other glass vases that are blown directly into square molds, the Woodbury Vase gets its distinctive angles by being rolled over hump molds. This labor-intensive process brings individuality and character to every piece, ensuring that each is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
